1. You can research average salaries for all types of jobs at Salary.com. You can get some good info for free, or more detailed reports for $$. I've never used anything but the free data, both as an employee and an employer. Just plug in a job title & zip code, then it will give you a list of job descriptions. Choose the one that's the closest fit, and you'll get average salaries. Good luck!
2. ive been working at a blockbuster in KY for a couple years now. they start out at only $5.40/hour, but they are a franchise store. i also worked at one in SC that was a corporate store and they started out at $7.50 i believe. just depends on your area and store
