California Colleges? Does anyone know any good universities in california? If you go to a Southern California school would you please give me some information on it? What California colleges should I look at? I am a junior living in Texas. I got a 213 on my PSAT this year. My grades are relatively high, all are A's when weighted. Are California colleges better overall than other states? My question is, are CA colleges better than other states, in general. Specifically public universities. For example the CSUs. I realize that most states aren't big enough to have 2 levels of colleges (UC and CSU). So would going to a CSU be better than going to most other state colleges, the fact that it's not a UC and just a CSU notwithstanding.

Are California Junior Colleges made by law to require a concurrent enrollment form for HS students to enroll? I am in high school until the 23rd, at which time I will take the proficiency exam and pass it easily enough, but until then my high school is refusing to sign my concurrent enrollment form even though they know I am easily capable of taking these classes. Okay enough of that, I am still a bit mad... All I want to know is if the law makes California junior colleges (Santa Rosa JC specifically) require high school students to get that form signed before they are allowed to enroll. Is Stanford (or any old California colleges for that matter) earthquake safe? In light of the recent earthquake here, I would like to know if Stanford and other California are earthquake safe. Stanford was established in 1891, so would the oldest buildings (the quad) be safe ina powerful earthquake? If not, should they work to fix up these old structures? I mean, Stanford's endwoment is definatly large engouh to do so. Wow I misspelled "enough." How sad is that. :p

What colleges in California provide accredited pre-vet programs for undergrads? hello. I am currently a senior in High School. I will soon have to apply to the colleges of my choice after i retake the SAT. I want to become a veterinarian and i don't care how long it takes. But, the problem is that i did not work hard as i should have. I am planning to go into a transfer program and transfer maybe to UC davis for veterinary medicine. I have researched about Santa Monica College and it is said that it is easier to transfer to UC davis from there. Would transferring from a Cal state be more of a challenge? please help. I have already been on collegeboard.com but they don't list any U.S. colleges that offer physical therapy.
What are the best colleges in California for me? I get mostly A's in school, I participate in activites such as varsity sports, orchestra, band, and karate, volunteer work. I also took many honors and AP courses and got high grades in those. HOWEVER, my SAT scores are terrible (in the 430-480 range) and I don't think I can get into the elite colleges I wanted to go to with those scores. What are my alternatives?
